Photographed on a beach along the BC coast, this black and grey wolf was spotted taking advantage of a low tide whilst out looking for food right down on the tideline. Coastal wolves will often fan out and search for food individually and when successful will either call other pack members in or will garner as much as they can themselves (see also Seal for Breakfast) and take it back to regurgitate for pups and/or pack members. If deer are around or on the menu the wolves are often seen in groups of four or five and teamwork will then prevail in obtaining that days meal.
