Recently I spent 12 – 14 hours a day for 12 days sat by a river in the hope that one of the encounters I would have there would be with a wolf. On day ten that finally happened. This wolf came out of the bush down river from where a small group of us were sat and upon seeing him everyone became very quiet and all wished for the same thing, that he would make his way along the river closer to us. This wolf not only came along the river, it fished twice and ate it’s catch right in front of us. After it had finished it sat and looked at each of us in turn as if posing for photos and then returned back down river from whence it came. It was a special encounter and worth every one of those 120 hours or so that I sat waiting for it. Many more shots from this encounter will be posted in the newly created ‘Wolves‘ gallery very soon.
