This is a follow on to the post ‘Ready for Bed’ from a few years ago and as you can see, this unfortunate fish had been caught by the hungry bruin not far from its spawning ground on a BC river system. The original post features a full body shot of this female bear and you can see just how large she was. Given her size, you would have to wonder if she could even fit one more pink salmon in, but by October each year bears have entered the hyperphagia stage of their year, which means they just have to eat and eat and eat until one day, as the temperatures drop, they decide enough is enough and head off to hibernation for the winter.
