One of my favourite primate shots from my visit to Tanzania last year. This image of olive baboons seems to have five stories all rolled up in to one – the small family unit. I love the look of wonder and learning on the baby, it just invites you in. And then the deep, stern expression of the battle scarred male at the back, keeping an ever watchful eye for danger. But none of them are concerned by our presence in a vehicle at the side of the track about 65 metres away. I’m sure it would have been different had we got out of the truck, but being able to observe them doing their thing, without disturbing them, was a treat.
