Crows Having Fun

As reported before, (see Arch Enemies) eagles and crows have a well known love-hate relationship and that was certainly demonstrated on this day when I came across these three on the BC coast in Prince Rupert recently. I had been watching the eagle quietly sitting on the rooftop of an old fish plant building, thoughtfully looking out to sea. But these two crows decided they were having none of it and, as seen here, decided to harass the eagle, giving him no peace until he eventually decided enough was enough and took to the wing. Afterwards I’m sure the crows appeared pleased with themselves, but they also looked as if they were asking each other “what shall we do now for fun”!
