In a few weeks time I’m heading back to the Khutzeymateen after three years away. Although I have thousands, many still unpublished, photographs from the area and despite being able to keep fairly up to date on some of the comings and goings through others visiting the area, I still miss regularly seeing the resident bears for myself. This is a female bear that has featured many times here on the site since I first saw her as a sub-adult coming down off an ice covered mountainside way back in 2012 (see Ice Bear). Hopefully she will be back around with many others when I visit in June and we’ll have a few more shots of her to share on here with you.
