I came across this sleepy looking fella one afternoon in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary on the BC coast. The tide was starting to get high and there wasn’t too much open dry land left around on the estuary. As is the norm on the high tides, the bears head in to the forest and take a siesta until the tide turns again. We were heading along one of the stretches of tree line when this guy decided to briefly lift his head to check us out as we passed by, before quickly going back to his slumbers.
