Here we see a well known female grizzly bear from the Khutzeymateen, just checking us out before she heads ashore at the end of her swim across one of the channels. As I’ve mentioned before she’s a bear I got to know well having first encountered her as a young sub-adult back in 2012 (See Heading Off Ice). In this shot from 2022 I would estimate she is around 14 years old – having had her first cub back in 2015 (Who’s Coming Mum?) and her second set, twins in 2018 (The Next Generation).
