There’s just something about baby animals people can’t seem to resist, they seem to instantly melt your heart and you find yourself saying ‘ah’ without even realizing it, even if it’s just to yourself! Whilst looking something akin to a hobby horse or Shetland pony, this equine foal was just that – an instant ‘ah’ moment when we came across it in the Central Serengeti region of Tanzania. Baby zebras are usually standing within fifteen minutes of being born and are normally walking within a couple of hours and if the herd feels threatened, all the adults will surround the foals in order to try and protect them from predators.
