A Couple of Profiles

I’ve done several posts over the years showing and explaining the physical differences between black and grizzly bears, but I don’t think I’ve ever done a head to head profile comparison before, until now. Here we see a nice side on shot of a black bear, above, whilst below is a similar profile of a grizzly bear. You can clearly see the difference in the two profiles, but what is not shown here is that typically, head-on, the grizzly bear’s face is considered more concave or dish like than that of the black bear with the grizzly’s eyes deeper set and closer together. But what I really like in these two profiles is how well the ears are defined, the grizzly has short rounded ears whilst the black bear’s ears appear constantly alert or vertical and almost pointed like.
