We haven’t seen one of these guys for a while, but with a look through the archives, I came across this very regal looking young bald eagle who is pretty close to maturing and seems to appear very pleased with himself about it too. Not to long afterwards and this eagle will have lost the last of the brown in the head and his brown and white downy feathers of his body and wings will have turned the more familiar black. And, as also can be seen here, his beak has all but turned the yellow commonly seen on adult birds already.
