Here we see a female grizzly bear slowly wading up stream searching for salmon. As you can see she’s had a fair bit of luck already in that department and she was destined for more that’s for sure. But, what I like about this shot is the reflection off the surface of the water, with the drip from her chin linking the two together before she pushes through. Photographers ideally try to get eye to eye level shots of wildlife whenever possible, but when you’re up on a river bank and the subject is in a river below, that’s not always possible, however, on this occasion the height advantage has given us this special reflection as an alternative treat.
