I’ve heard it said about kids caught doing something they shouldn’t and I’ve certainly seen it in my dogs when caught digging in the garden, they just look at you with that expression of ‘What?’ on their faces as if to deny the knowledge of any wrongdoing. That is what this shot of this young grizzly bear reminds me of – he is just asking ‘what?’. And of course on this occasion he is actually right, he is doing nothing wrong, just going about his business of digging for butter clams, but he sure looks muddy!
