Friday Flashback – Enjoying the Blue

Today’s Friday Flashback is from 24 July 2015 and is entitled ‘Enjoying the Blue’. A rare shot of a bald eagle against a clear blue sky – Rare? That was because of were it was taken, funnily enough it’s the same location I’m in now as I right this, but it’s not very blue!

Original Text: “A short break from grizzly bears and we find ourselves back at the harbour in Prince Rupert on the northern BC coast. Here I came across this bald eagle circling overhead looking for fish amongst the boats below. Now it’s not necessarily the eagle that’s unusual or unique about this shot, but the blue sky behind him! Clear blue skies and sun are something of a rarity in Prince Rupert and that’s because it’s known to be Canada’s cloudiest city and only has a little over 1200 hours of sunshine a year, with over 2.5 metres of rain. No wonder this guy was out ‘Enjoying the Blue’.
