Frozen in time as it’s about to takeoff – this juvenile eagle shows the power and strength it possesses as it launches itself from a pebbled beach here on the BC coast. With a push from those strong legs, a downdraft from its tail and a drawdown on those large powerful wings and the eagle was airborne in the blink of an eye. Always a treat to see, catching it in such a frozen, statuesque pose was a bonus.
