I last featured some ‘Loons’ back in 2018 – a post that tells of their magical and thought provoking call. I came across this portrait of a single bird recently so thought I would share this one here too. Although quite conservative in colour they seem to carry plain old black and white with a certain majesty about them and the striking chestnut coloured eye of the adults really shines and draws you in to their inner being.
