One of my older spirit bear shots and not one that I’ve used before, but I just love this scene with the expression on the face of the bear and the jabbering crows – as if they’re all in pleasant breakfast conversation over nothing important. I came across the bear early one morning on a small river system on an island in the Great Bear Rainforest here on the BC coast. The bear had taken a salmon out on to the grass to eat (see Spirit Bear & Chum) and was soon joined by the crows hoping to scavenge a morsel or two.
