Maybe a bit of a postcard shot this one. Taken early May a couple of years back in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, I just love how it shows this male grizzly bear, fresh out of hibernation in his natural environment. Surrounded by a backdrop of ‘Old Man’s Beard’ lichen, along with old and new growth sitka trees – it just sets a perfect springtime shot in BC’s Great Bear Rainforest.
