Friday Flashback – Wolf Pup

Flashback is back! To help get us through the winter months and to keep two posts a week coming in I thought I’d bring some memories back for some and a delve through the archives for others. This year’s flashbacks are from 2014 – a busy year that saw me travel the BC coast extensively as well as the odd excursion a little further too. Today’s Friday Flashback is from January 2014 entitled ‘Wolf Pup‘ – A young wolf checking us out whilst an adult male behind gets on with the job in hand, eating salmon. Enjoy!

Original Text – ‘Here is another shot of the young wolf I first featured back in November, fishing.  Seen here with a male wolf feeding in the background, the young guy was busy sniffing the air in our general direction. He turned up on the river with two adults, but only one accompanied him up river to fish. We weren’t quite sure why the other wolf stayed down river and didn’t come to feed, but after a short while we saw why – a grizzly bear came out on the river from the direction the wolves had appeared from. The other wolf was probably keeping a close eye on the bear.
