Watering Hole

Sweetie, the mom of these three young grizzly bear cubs of the year, was always teaching her charges, often without them even realising it, see Always Learning for example. Here, on their very first day down on the inlet, we see her showing the triplets where to find the sweetest water along the shoreline. Whilst the bears can and do drink the water in the inlet, especially closer to the estuary – the top couple of feet, although a little brackish, are still relatively quite fresh, especially to the bears – but if you can find the run off before it hits the inlet that is pure fresh water, naturally the best tasting of all.
