Here’s one of my favourite fall in the Great Bear Rainforest shots – one I find myself regularly looking at at this time of year. Artistically, it reminds me of a scenic water colour depicting a moment in the life of a female grizzly bear as she searches for salmon along a coastal creek. The bokeh (pronounced boke) giving an ethereal effect to the forest behind with the bear posing beside the flowing water. This shot was taken in early October and the bear herself is looking in great condition – with her coat filling out nicely, she would have soon headed off for the cold winter in her den, high up on a nearby mountain.
