Standing upright with a stern look on his face this bald eagle stands like a guardian on a large rock at the mouth of a creek here on the BC coast. In reality, it is of course waiting and watching for an unsuspecting fish – a salmon preferably, to swim by. With great patience and a sharp eye it will sit there for hours unless disturbed and on this particular occasion it took to the wing to ward off another eagle that was thinking of stopping off at the same feeding hole.
