I’m just back from the second part of the season in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary here on the BC coast and here’s a shot taken earlier this month. Remember that ‘Stunning Blond‘ featured in a post last November? Well, here she is again, photographed exactly one year on. She was weaned by her mum back in May this year and we’d had some concern for her well being as we hadn’t seen her for a number of weeks, but she suddenly showed up fit and well, fishing for salmon on the creek where her mom raised her and where she knew she could hopefully feed well. Now affectionately known as ‘Honey’ by some, she was looking great when I last saw her a fortnight ago and all being well she will be back in good health next May for another season on the coast.
