For those of us getting ‘bear withdrawal’ here is a young grizzly bear cub of the year photographed in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary here on the BC coast last June. It was waiting at the mouth of a small cave – it’s mother’s favourite resting place during the summer months. The shot just reminded me of a young child doing as it was told and sitting patiently by the window of their home, waiting for it’s mother and sibling to wake up so they could all go out and play together.
