This shot of a female grizzly bear was taken on the BC coast back in the fall of 2013 and although the bear is looking for and did catch some salmon, in this particular shot with the merganser in the foreground, it just seems to appear as if the bear is considering ‘duck for supper’ for a change. Grizzlies will eat ducks given half the chance I’m sure, but 99 times out of 100 they would be unlikely to catch them, but you never know!
