Snowy Owl’s (Nyctea scandiaca) are starting to make a return to the BC coast now for the winter and I hope to be able to get out and bring you some more shots in the New Year – but for now, here is a ‘Hallmark moment’ I’d like to share for Christmas. At one of my shows recently, an elderly gentleman came over and asked if I had any snowy owls, so I showed him a copy of this guy photographed here on the BC coast a couple of years ago. He looked at the print and said his wife would have loved it as she really liked snowy owls, but she had passed a couple of weeks earlier. He looked at the print a little while longer and said he’d take it!
