Here is a shot that is becoming a firm favourite since being introduced as part of the art card portfolio at the beginning of the month. It features the spirit bear mom & her black cub taken a couple of years ago, (see also Spirit Bear). They crossed the river in front of us before making their way up a small hill, where the cub climbed a tree and went to sleep, whilst mom slept on the ground beneath. This was a pretty unique watershed, deep within the Great Bear Rainforest – at one point we had a grizzly bear, black bear and this mom & cub all in the same stretch of river, a very special day!
