For those who have been asking for more owls recently – here is a shot taken on the southern BC coast way back in February, featuring a Short-eared owl posing for photographs on a log. This medium sized owl, once known as a ‘Mouse-hawk’, only sat briefly before flying off to continue his search for his next meal. Hopefully I can return to the same location again early in the New Year, where I will aim to find another parliament of owls to get some images of.
